The Chicago Way & Chick-fil-a

Chicago has High unemployment and minorities are hit the hardest. I can attest to that. So when a company wants to open a business in Chicago you’d think the city fathers would warmly welcome the business right. Nope not Chicago. Chic-fil-a wants to open a restaurant in the Logan Square neighborhood. Are they a crooked business…no…dangerous business….no…a harmful business….no. You see Chicago is run by Aldermanic kingdoms. That’s the problem with Chicago, fiefdoms run by aldermen. Case in point Logan Squares Alderman Moreno who told the Associated Press:

Moreno said he does not dispute that the owner of Chick-fil-A has First Amendment rights – but, he warned, there are consequences.

“There are consequences for freedom of speech (and) in this case the consequences are…you’re not going to have your first free-standing restaurant in Chicago,” Moreno told Associated Press.

All because the CEO of Chick-fil-a stated he was pro-traditional marriage. Mind you it was a personal statement of the CEO and not a statement by the company. Of course the last time I looked Gay marriages weren’t legal in Illinois. But in Chicago Democrats pander to the Gay vote.
Of course Chicago’s mayor the Rahm Father stated.

“Chick-fil-a values are not Chicago values”

Illinois Governor Jello of course had jump in as well with his jiggling gibberish.

It all boils down to this; Chicago needs job, Chick-fil-a is a quality company that does not discriminate against customers and employees and this one location could add 30 to 40 jobs in that community. But remember what’s important to Chicago politicians is votes not jobs. It’s better for people to collect unemployment than work at a Chick-fil-a. Shame on you Chicago! Chick-fil-a gets the Chicago Beatdown!
